Tournament organizer ESL Gaming entered into a broadcast partnership with PLAYzone, as a result of which PLAYzone, part of the Czech TV company FTV Prima Group, received exclusive rights to broadcast the ESL Pro Tour on CS: GO in both Czech and Slovak languages.
The partnership kicks off with ESL Pro League Season 14, while the competition will be televised on PLAYzone digital channels. In total, the company has won the rights to eleven events from the ESL Pro Tour series, including IEM Katowice 2022 and IEM Cologne 2022.
Lukasz Pleskot, CEO of PLAYzone: “PLAYzone has been shaping the local esports market for a long time, and it is close cooperation and integration with world leaders that is one of the main pillars of our strategy, which takes us and the entire market to a higher level. Direct communication with the world's largest organizer allows Czech teams to regularly measure their strengths with the best and gain valuable experience. At the same time, we can attract spectators to participate in the most prestigious competitions in the world. "
According to the press release, the partnership agreement will also allow the winner of the PLAYzone CS: GO regional competition to receive a slot in one of the ESL National Championships global playoffs in 2022.
Over the past 12 months, ESL has partnered with companies such as Coinbase, Monster Energy and paysafecard. In addition, the company also announced a media rights deal with The Gaming Channel for Israeli coverage.
