Gaming peripheral brand Razer has announced that its Razer Invitational Series esports tournament will debut in the Middle East.

At the event, which kicks off on August 8th, players from the region will compete in four separate weekly tournaments. The four disciplines selected for the Razer Invitational - Middle East include Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, VALORANT, PUBG Mobile, and League of Legends.

Ian Salcedo, Head of Esports, Razer EMEA: “The Razer Invitational is an inclusive space that gives all players the opportunity to take part in a massive online tournament and experience the thrill of competitive play. Bringing the Razer Invitational to the Middle East is a big step forward. the next generation of esports talent from the region. Razer also revealed that the online event will offer a combined prize pool of $ 50,000. In addition, the winners of the competition will be offered Razer products and the MVP of the tournament will receive a cash prize. Interestingly, viewers who vote for the MVP of the tournament will also compete for Razer products.

According to the press release, players from the Middle East of all skill levels can register for the Razer Invitational. Each event is free to attend and is presented to provide players with the opportunity to compete in an online event with the opportunity to win cash and equipment.

Note that this is the peripheral brand's second stop on the Razer Invitational Season 2021 calendar, with more events to be announced later this year. The series completed its North American leg in June 2021.
