Intel expands partnership with NSE
Technology company Intel has expanded its partnership with National Student Esports (NSE), the UK's official university esports body.
As a result of the expansion of the deal, Intel will continue to support UK university students throughout the 2021/22 academic year. This includes the return of Intel's FutureGen program and working with the NSE on a new joint initiative to recognize and reward esports success stories.
Alex Coulson, Managing Director of the NSE:"We are delighted to be working together on existing projects such as the British University Esports Championship and the Intel FutureGen program, as well as working on new ideas and other ways to encourage and help the student community."
The expanding partnership also assumes that Intel will remain the main partner of the British University Esports Championship.
First introduced in 2019, Intel's FutureGen program aims to nurture high-performing students and develop their skills to expand future career opportunities. Along with joint initiatives with the NSE, Intel is also sponsoring the ESL Premiership, an in-house esports competition for the UK and Ireland.
