NRG Esports announces partnership with The General

North American organization NRG Esports announced a partnership with The General insurance company. As part of the agreement, the organization's Rocket League team will be renamed "General NRG" and will wear branded jerseys for all future competitive and out-of-competition events.

In addition, under the partnership agreement, NRG's "The Grid" will be broadcast by an insurance company. Note that fans will be able to see General NRG and the team's new jerseys during the Rocket League Championship Series Season X North America Major, which kicks off on May 22.

According to the press release, the agreement is part of an effort by both parties to spur significant growth vis-à-vis the industry. In addition, the two organizations will collaborate to develop fan promotions in the future.
