The Story Mob appoints Michael Chavez Booth as General Manager

The Story Mob, a gaming communications consultancy, has appointed Michael Chavez Booth as the first-ever general manager of its North American office.

As general manager of the region, Booth will be responsible for the agency's client relations and team development. In addition, it will support Story Mob's new business efforts as the firm expands, exploring new markets including apparel, digital finance, collectibles, and a suite of wellness services.

Booth joined Story Mob in April 2020 as the company's chief communications officer. Since his appointment, he has helped the firm expand its client base from professional esports organizations, tournament operators, game publishers and other brands.

Prior to joining Story Mob, Booth worked in consumer and corporate communications for 12 years with the international agencies Edelman and FleishmanHillard, the Los Angeles Chargers and the National Basketball Association (NBA). Throughout his tenure, Booth has worked with brands such as Warner Bros., DC Comics, AT&T, and Under Armor.

Story Mob's client list includes organizations and companies such as Team Liquid, G2 Esports, Evil Geniuses, Flyquest, Enthusiast Gaming, Riot Games, Mavix Chairs, and Red Bull.
