Alban Deschelotte announces retirement from Riot Games
Alban Deschelotte, Head of Riot Games' EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Partnership, has announced his departure from the company.
Deschelotte is credited with overseeing a variety of non-endemic brand agreements for the League of Legends European Championships (LEC).
Deschelotte left the publishing house to join another esports company, according to a statement released on March 31.
While at Riot Games, Deschelotte oversaw Riot's esports partnerships in Europe and was instrumental in closing deals with a range of non-endemic brands including Kia, KitKat and Warner Music. Since the deals were signed, the publisher has implemented many brand activations that have now become established features during LEC broadcasts.
Deschelotte said he will release details of his new position in the coming weeks.
