ONE Esports Reveals Partnerships With Foodpanda, Tinder, TikTok And Shopee
ONE Esports, the esports venture of sports media company ONE Championship, has announced a strategic partnership with food delivery platform Foodpanda, Tinder, TikTok, and e-commerce firm Shopee.
As a result of the agreements, brands will partner with ONE Esports to promote the ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Major represented by PGL.
Foodpanda, Shopee, Tinder and TikTok are joining companies like JBL, TUMI, DBS, Logitech and Secretlab as partners of the ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Major. Specific events planned between ONE Esports and its new partners have not been disclosed.
The ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Major, presented by PGL, began on March 27 with the Wild Card stage. Note that the group stage of the competition started on March 29.
According to the press release, both ONE Esports and PGL worked with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to develop policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all participants in the offline event.
Regardless, the pandemic has already caused problems for the tournament as teams such as beastcoast and Natus Vincere were forced to withdraw from the competition. This prompted the PGL to announce format changes that allowed more teams to qualify for the group stage.
