NRG signs partnership with Hot Pockets brand
NRG Esports has signed its largest-ever sponsorship deal with the Hot Pockets brand, which spans the streaming and esports sides of the organization.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the organization has confirmed it represents its largest deal in terms of value. Assets include NRG's 20,000 square feet of naming rights, Content Castle investment, jersey branding for NRG teams, and digital/social content.
Founded in 2015, NRG opened Content Castle late last year to its content creators. It features teams represented in the Overwatch League, Call of Duty League, Rocket League, and Apex Legends disciplines.
Hot Pockets for consolidation in the e-sports is important in part because Totino's rival, owned General Mills, already has a significant presence in this space, including a deal with 100 Thieves.
