Nonprofits were particularly hard hit during the coronavirus pandemic, as demand for their services increased, but donations came in significantly less. The National MS Society traditionally hosts its annual fundraising events. The partnership with the Immortals Gaming Club is the community's way of building a more sustainable fundraising platform while building on the success of previous online events.

Nearly 1 million people in the United States live with multiple sclerosis, a disease of the nervous system that is unpredictable and often disabling. There is currently no cure for this disease.

The National MS Society raises money for medical research, provides resources and support to those affected by the condition, and advocates for patients.

The first joint stream of the National Society of MC and Immortals Gaming Club is scheduled for February 16. Guests will include Major League Baseball (MLB) players Dane Dunning, Lucas Jolito, Derek Holland, Carlos Rodon, Alec Marsh, Spencer Torkelson, Sam Tuywailala and Tyler Clippard, as well as G2 content creator Athena and popular streamer chellchee.
