GRID and CSPPA signed a cooperation agreement
IT platform GRID Esports and the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association (CSPPA) have announced a partnership to improve the CS: GO global ranking system.
The agreement will allow GRID to use data modeling and statistics to bring automation and transparency to the ranking management process.
The CSPPA World Ranking combines individual team performances over a 36-week rolling period with "ranking points" provided in a selected number of tournaments. Points are awarded to individual players with a total team score of five.
The first edition of the updated CSPPA World Ranking, developed in partnership with GRID, is expected to launch in March.
Throughout 2020, GRID Esports continued to build up its connections, with companies such as ESforce Holding, Live Media and Allied Esports signing agreements with the Berlin-based organization.
