After showcasing the European Spring Series in 2020, the Rocket League will return to BBC Sport's online platforms and apps, as well as BBC iPlayer in 2021.

The BBC has already made it clear that it will be closely engaged in broadcasting the upcoming Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS X). It all kicks off with RLCS X Winter Split, which is scheduled to air on January 9th and 10th. Some of the contributors to Europe Regional # 3: David Beckham's Guild Esports; Wolves eSports, the professional gaming arm of Premier League football club Wolverhampton Wanderers, and football giant FC Barcelona.

Potentially, Guild Esports will be joined by former player and new star Team Singularity, Scrub Killa, a Scottish 17-year-old who is known as one of the best Rocket League players in the world.

As noted earlier, this is not the first time the BBC has broadcast the Rocket League to pave the way for esports into the media world, as the media company aired the European Spring Series last May.

Plus, the media company's 2021 esports content doesn't just include the Rocket League, as the BBC has already announced that it will be streaming the BLAST Premier Global Final on CS: GO on its BBC iPlayer later this month. In addition, BBC Three is also set to air a five-part television series following the UK esports organization EXCEL Esports.
