The Torrent Organization has ceased operations
The North American esports organization Torrent has announced its demise. Recall that the club said goodbye to its squads back in November last year and intended to return to the stage, but now it has finally curtailed operations.
From today, Torrent ceases to operate. Toward the end of last year, we hinted at a return to competition in some capacity and fully intended to create something that we thought our community would enjoy. Ultimately, the final decision was made to take our team's passion and creativity and use it in other endeavors under the leadership of our parent company, Wisdom Gaming Studios. We know that this is not the kind of news that someone wanted to hear from the very beginning of our activity. We have always wanted to create a community of passionate fans and you all made it possible.
Torrent was founded in early 2021 by parent company Wisdom Gaming Studios. The club was primarily known for its performances in the Rocket League, Halo and Apex Legends disciplines, where it had some success.
Among the achievements of the organization on the stage, it is worth highlighting the seventh place in the Apex Legends Global Series Championship 2021 - North America, as well as participation in the RLCS Season X - Fall: North American Major and RLCS Season X - Winter: North American Major.
Wisdom Gaming Studios is expected to redistribute the assets of the Torrent organization to its other projects, as the company also handles production and marketing, tournament organization, design, and more.
