Tournament operator ESL renews partnership with YouTube
Tournament operator ESL announced the renewal of a partnership agreement with the YouTube platform. As a result, the company will allow its fans to follow the upcoming championships on all existing platforms, including Twitch and YouTube. Recall that earlier the organizers had an exclusive contract with Twitch, due to which the matches were not broadcast on the platform from Google.

In this way, ESL expands its reach and allows fans to follow their championships on various platforms. Interestingly, the tournament operator has signed exclusive deals with Facebook and YouTube in the past, but both deals have been met with criticism from the community.
The organizers are currently creating a YouTube channel for their ESL Impact series. However, all parallel tournament series are presented on both platforms, as well as through special broadcast partners. The new rules will come into effect from IEM Katowice 2023, which will take place from 1 to 12 February.
