Brag House, Coca-Cola and McDonald's are hosting a Fortnite tournament
Student esports platform Brag House has announced the launch of the Fortnite Championship - Black & Positively Golden Gamers. The tournament will be organized in partnership with Coca-Cola and McDonald's. Interestingly, the three companies teamed up in 2021 to host an esports party at the University of Texas at Dallas.
The event will bring together 400 gamer students from historically black colleges and universities to compete for $15,000 scholarships from the Thurgood Marshall College Foundation.
Lavelle Juan, co-founder and CEO of Brag House: "I'm incredibly proud to be able to offer scholarship opportunities to HBCU students. As a former college athlete, these opportunities open up to a small number of students each year. Working with HBCU and our amazing partners, McDonald's and Coca "Cola, we're giving HBCU students who love games a chance they never dreamed of."
The tournament will take place from October 23 to December 17 and will be streamed live via the Brag House app, with the final taking place at an in-person event in Atlanta, Georgia.
