KOI and Rogue join forces to reach new heights in esports
The two dominant European organizations decided to join forces and signed a contract.
Rogue, reigning LEC champions, and company Infinite Reality are joining forces with KOI, the exciting Spanish esports organization founded by former LVP commentator and Twitch star Ibay Llanos and professional footballer and sports media investment company Kosmos founder Gerard Piqué. In early 2023, a formidable strategic alliance will come into effect as organizations join forces to dominate esports in Europe.
KOI co-owner Ibay Llanos
I am very proud of KOI and what we have been able to achieve in such a short period of time.
This partnership with Rogue only accelerates our growth and empowers us to provide our fans with the most engaging and immersive experiences.
Infinite Reality CEO John Acunto
Infinite Reality is excited to partner with Ebay and Gerard to bring these two great organizations together.
We will continue to build on the success of these great teams to become the dominant force in esports and entertainment. The fans will be the big winners in this transformational alliance.
Anna Baumann, Executive Vice President, eSports, Infinite Reality
Having established Rogue as the world's leading talent factory with championship winning teams, we are thrilled to be working with KOI. With this alliance, we can improve the game and provide our fans with even more entertainment content while continuing to build on Ibai's legacy in esports.
Ibay Llanos, a social media celebrity and Twitch luminary, who runs the world's fourth most watched channel, will serve as the partnership's spokesperson for both KOI and Rogue, including competitive KOI teams in the highly anticipated Valorant and LVP Pro League. The SuperLiga, as well as the Rogue teams in Call of Duty, Rocket League , Rainbow Six , and their League of Legends championship roster are the LEC 's number one seed competing in next week's Worlds.
In July 2022, Infinite Reality announced the completion of its previously announced $470 million acquisition of ReKTGlobal. This was based on iR's equity valuation of $2 billion, with a post-closing cumulative valuation of $2.47 billion.
