Mande turned down $400,000 offer

Mikkel 'Mande' Hull Hestbeck, a Danish Apex Legends player currently with SCARZ, revealed that he turned down a $400,000 deal with a gambling organization. The professional Apex Legends player has almost 300,000 followers on Twitch. The esportsman decided to tell in detail about the offer, which he decided to refuse.

An unnamed gambling service offered Mikkel to promote his site on the esportsman's streams in the same way as it happens on other Twitch channels of various players. One of the founders of this movement was Xpozed and Trainwreck, who tried to drag Mande into this business. Ultimately, they failed.

The gambling deal could have cost $400,000, but he resisted the temptation. Mande has previously talked about the influx of cryptocurrency organizations in esports. For example, in June 2021, a $210,000,000 deal between FTX and TSM took place, after which TSM act under the FTX.TSM tag.

According to Mande, an esports player would have to play four hours a week and earn $15,000 a month for it. In addition, the company would give Mikkel Hestbeck $6,000 to play, and if he could win something from it, he could keep it. Mande could have earned between $300,000 and $400,000 in half a year, but he didn't dare to make such a deal. The streamer did not specify for what reason he refused this, probably the fact is that he simply did not want to deal with gambling and did not make a deal with his conscience. Mande said it would take a complete fool to turn down a deal that would change the course of the streamer's next 20-30 years.
