Infinity Esports and Yesports become partners
Costa Rican esports organization Infinity Esports has announced a partnership with blockchain company Yesports to launch a fungible token (NFT) fan acquisition program. The club becomes the seventh esports organization - the first from Latin America - to partner with Yesports. Note that Talon Esports, BOOM Esports and Renegades, among others, are also among the partners of the company.
As part of the deal, the parties plan to launch a project called Infinity Island, described as "an interactive space in the Yesports metaverse" and an accompanying NFT collection. According to Damian Sarfiershtein, commercial director of Infinity Esports, the project is part of the principle of organizing the search for innovation.
The deal highlights the growing number of esports organizations looking to rely on blockchain and Web3 to develop fan engagement strategies. As one of the main organizations in Latin America, Infinity Esports is becoming a major player in the expansion of blockchain-based fan engagement solutions in the region.
Yesports will reportedly launch an NFT collection provided by Infinity Esports. The token will provide access to VIP tickets to events, private Discord servers, signed merchandise, exclusive video content, access to live streaming of team practices, and opportunities to play with the team.
In addition, Sebastian Quinn, founder and CEO of Yesports, will be joining the Infinity Esports organization as a Web3 Consultant.
