Champion of Champions Tour Tournament Series Announces Search for Regional Partners
The Champion of Champions Tour, the CS:GO tournament series hosted by GRID Esports and founding partners Relog Media, Fantasy Expo and FACEIT, among others, has announced the start of a competitive search for regional partners. The championship series is reportedly seeking to find regional leagues that are willing to provide teams to compete in the tournament, whether or not those regions are covered by the series itself.
A series of tournaments organized by GRID Esports and partners such as Elisa Esports and Black Molly Entertainment will launch later in 2022 in Europe, North and South America. According to the organizers, the tournament will be one of the biggest CS:GO events of the year with a total prize pool of $3.4 million.
Tom Warburton, CEO of GRID Esports: "Since we announced the Champion of Champions Tour last month, we have received a lot of interest from national CS:GO leagues who would like to include their tournaments in the series. Such a response is already what we were aiming for was to work together to provide a professional space for the further growth of the scene."
Recall that earlier the Champion of Champions Tour has already entered into partnerships with StreamCards and BitSkins. The organizers of the event did not share details on what criteria regional tournament operators must meet in order to become a series partner.
The overall Champion of Champions series system for 2022-2024 is as follows:
- 44 open regional qualifiers.
- 44 online tournaments.
- 11 studio finals.
- Global LAN Finals.
GRID and its founding partners FACEIT, Eden Sports, Relog Media, Fantyasyexpo and Black Molly Entertainment have jointly announced a new tournament called "Champion of Champions Tour (CCT)" which will run from June 2022 to January 2024 and will offer a prize pool of $3.4 million.
