OverActive Media expands partnership with TD Bank

OverActive Media, which owns assets and teams such as MAD Lions, Toronto Ultra and Toronto Defiant, has expanded its existing partnership with Canadian multinational banking and financial services company TD Bank Group. As part of the new multi-year agreement, the parties will organize a series of activations during the Toronto Defiant Summer Showdown. The bank will also continue to sponsor the Toronto Ultra and Toronto Defiant franchises of the Call of Duty and Overwatch League, respectively.

In addition, TD Bank will assist with the refurbishment of the Toronto Defiant Players' Lounge at OverActive's headquarters.

Michael Armstrong, Vice President of Brand and Corporate Sponsorship at TD Bank Group: "TD Bank is proud to be working with OverActive once again to help build esports momentum and enhance the Toronto Ultra and Toronto Defiant fan experience. We look forward to continuing interacting with fans and customers in the gaming community and helping to maintain a sense of connection between esports platforms for the next generation of gamers."

The Toronto Defiant's Fan Appreciation Weekend will also return in August. The event includes a showdown between the Toronto Defiant and Vancouver Titans franchises. Moreover, both organizations will unite to launch another event.

Along with TD Bank, Toronto Ultra and Toronto Defiant's commercial portfolio includes companies such as Bell, Canon, EPOS, Nobis and SCUF Gaming. OverActive Media's third organization, MAD Lions, is sponsored by the Razer, SEAT and Kappa brands, among others.
