Golden Guardians Begin Construction on Esports Facility in Los Angeles
North American esports organization Golden Guardians has announced the creation of a 10,700 square foot esports facility in Los Angeles, California. The site, which includes a creative studio and training center, will open in the fall of 2022.
The Golden Guardians is the esports affiliate of the Golden State Warriors basketball club. The facility was announced to house offices for the Warriors esports business.
The Golden Guardians Training Center will reportedly be available for League of Legends, Super Smash Bros, Melee, and World of Warcraft rosters. All players will have access to the training room, cinema room, lounge, team operations office and kitchen.
Hunter Lee, Head of Esports, Golden State Warriors: "Our new esports facility will have a significant positive impact on the development of our esports lineups. The investment in our state-of-the-art Los Angeles headquarters speaks to Warriors' long-term commitment to growing esports and supporting our players in every way possible. I can't wait to complete the construction and offer these amenities to our team."
The facility's creative studio will be equipped with a set, chroma key and editing bays. The facility itself will be located in Playa Vista, Los Angeles.
Note that Golden Guardians is one of the majority of esports organizations that have recently announced or submitted plans to create new facilities for their teams. Earlier, EXCEL ESPORTS and Guild Esports, as well as Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which are developing a site for Team Liquid, Wizards District Gaming and Caps Gaming, spoke about their plans.
