Unified renews partnership with Riot Games

North American esports tournament and production company Unified has renewed its partnership with Riot Games to host the LCS Proving Grounds. As part of the deal, the company will once again host qualifiers for the LCS Proving Grounds, academy league, and amateur League of Legends tournaments.

The first qualifying tournament will begin on May 30 after the end of the open qualifier. The qualifier will give teams the chance to claim a share of the $12,500 prize pool, as well as earning a slot at the LCS Proving Grounds.

We're all incredibly excited about how the round is unfolding." qualifiers, and look forward to telling these stories while growing talent in the League of Legends community."

Unified has been a major contributor to the amateur and collegiate League of Legends ecosystem in North America since its founding in 2015. Last year, the tournament operator announced the acquisition of amateur esports platform Challengers Uprising.

Teams can apply for participation in the qualification until May 18.
