Riot Games enters into agreement with Santander
Riot Games has announced a five-year agreement with Santander Bank. The deal will cover the entire official League of Legends esports scene in Brazil.
The Santander brand will be represented in the Brazilian League of Legends Championship (CBLOL) and in the Academy division. Brazilian broadcasts of the Mid-Season Invitational and League of Legends World Championship will also feature a new sponsor.
Santander's CBLOL debut is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, during the final match between Red Canids Kalunga and paiN Gaming. In addition to displaying their brand during the broadcast, the bank will also act as a partner and will be responsible for issuing the match MVP award.
The next activations are expected to be announced before the start of the next split in the Brazilian League of Legends Championship, which will take place in the second half of 2022.
As part of its esports strategy, Santander Bank cooperates with various esports events and organizations. First of all, the bank sponsors the esports organization FURIA and the Brazilian Free Fire League (LBFF). With the new partnership, the bank now has its own brand attached to two major competitions in the country.
