Fnatic Launches Blockchain Fan Program
British esports organization Fnatic has announced the launch of a blockchain program with Crypto.com to offer fans many rewards and rewarding features. The digital membership, which will run on the Polygon blockchain network, provides access to digital and physical events, annual professional kits, exclusive content, meetups, and limited edition collaborations, among other perks.
The program was developed and released with the support of Crypto.com - a relatively new partner of Fnatic - and is designed to enable the organization's community to "connect and interact in a whole new way."
Sam Matthews, Fnatic CEO: "It's no secret that for any brand, especially in esports, the community is everything. The fans give us the power and we couldn't exist without them. Our program is about bringing our community closer to us." and to our players and content creators, which means that their voices are heard, they influence where we go next, and provide the rewards and features they care about.We want our fans to feel a deep sense of belonging to Fnatic while having direct ownership of their keys."
The program is built on blockchain technology with NFT keys that allow fans to own access to the "system". The keys are activated on the Polygon blockchain using the "proof-of-stake" encryption method, which usually uses less energy than "proof-of-work".
The program is available in three levels:
- Citizen, which is free;
- Core, which costs $250.
- Pioneer, for which you have to pay $600.
In addition to the above rewards, the program is said to include Fnatic store discounts, club jerseys and more.
