Misfits Gaming Group announces partnership with Tezos
Misfits Gaming Group, the parent company of the Misfits, Florida Mutineers and Florida Mayhem, has announced a cryptocurrency partnership with blockchain company Tezos.
As part of the deal, Tezos will become the official blockchain partner of Misfits, taking over branding and sponsorship rights. The company will also help Misfits Gaming Group launch its new blockchain-based gaming platform called Block Born.
Mason Edwards, Head of Staff, Tezos Foundation: "At such an exciting time for the wider gaming and esports industry, the selection of Misfits Gaming Group as an official blockchain partner adds momentum that the industry needs."
Misfits Gaming Group believes that Block Born will be a complete gaming community that will serve as the backbone of the club's blockchain revolution. In addition, the company believes that Block Born will focus on supporting and developing the gaming space, as well as supporting the community through content, tournaments, and other activations.
Note that Tezos is not a pioneer in the world of eSports. The company previously signed a multi-year deal with French esports organization Team Vitality. Tezos is also a technical partner of McLaren Racing and supports the company's driving simulator efforts.
