Snapdragon Pro Series first details unveiled
Processor manufacturer Qualcomm Technologies and esports company ESL Gaming have unveiled the first details of the Snapdragon Pro Series, a new mobile esports ecosystem. The championship series will be held in North America, Europe, the Middle East, China, North Africa, Asia Pacific and India.
The Snapdragon Pro Series will launch in April as part of a multi-year deal between both organizations and will offer a combined prize pool of $2,000,000.
In addition to being associated as a "global mobile esports ecosystem", the Snapdragon Pro Series is expected to become a multi-genre mobile esports competition. The series will apparently replace the current ESL mobile esports ecosystem, which was first introduced last March.
Similar to ESL Mobile, the Snapdragon Pro Series will have 'Open' and 'Challenge' tiers that will be open to all players in the previously mentioned regions, however, a new third tier called Masters will be added to ESL's mobile esports ecosystem.
Although specific details of the Snapdragon Pro Series have not been revealed, the championships will feature a number of regional leagues and tournaments, as well as a large-scale global final event for Masters-level competitions. Championships are expected to be held across Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, PUBG Mobile, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
In addition, tournaments will be played exclusively on mobile devices that support Qualcomm Elite Gaming technology.
