Version1 partners with Thece
North American esports organization Version1 has announced a long-term partnership with ad technology company Thece. As part of the agreement, the company will support Version1's efforts to attract non-endemic brands to assets featured in streaming by players and content creators.
Thece will be responsible for finding and creating a range of advertising assets for Version1 that will be used by her squads to create esports content. The company is also integrating assets into live streaming with a focus on brand placement.
According to the press release, the "short-term" nature of the advertising campaigns will provide an opportunity for the organization to develop relationships with the brands involved. The development of new campaigns is expected to enable consumers to interact with brands in "meaningful" ways.
Version1 is the second organization to partner with Thece. In September, the company signed an agreement with the Misfits Gaming Group to provide the organization with a series of short-term partnerships involving its influencers.
Since rebranding in February, the Minnesota-based organization has partnered with a variety of brands including SCUF Gaming, USAA and esports startup eFuse. Version1 is currently featured in the following disciplines: Call of Duty League, VALORANT, and Rocket League.
