Publisher Riot Games has announced plans to open a new Remote Broadcasting Center (RBC) and Content Production Center in Dublin.

The move is part of Riot Games' new global scaling policy, under which the company intends to open three similar centers around the world: first in Dublin, then in Seattle and finally in the Asia-Pacific region. Each of the centers is expected to host esports events both independently and in collaboration with other venues.

Scott Adametz, Senior Infrastructure Engineering Manager, Riot Games:"The idea behind Project Stryker is to have all the manufacturing and technology capabilities of a publisher centralized in three major hubs around the world."

The new Riot Gaming Center will be located in a former nightclub in Ayreside Retail Park. The company announced that the opening of the new facility will create more than 120 jobs in broadcast design, production, event management and management. The project is also supported by the Irish government.

Alan Bridgman, Managing Director, Riot Games:"We chose Dublin for this strategically important investment because we are confident in the availability of technical talent, an attractive business environment and our positive track record of serving our players from all over Europe since our first founding here."

The new studios are spread over 50,000 square feet and will be used to enable small regional projects to leverage technology from any part of the world.
