ESL Strengthens Partnership With Shadow Esports
ESL, the organizer of esports tournaments, has announced a new partnership agreement with Berlin-based startup Shadow Esports. As part of the agreement, ESL will expand the capabilities of the Shadow Esports widget, a data collection tool created in 2020 with Bayes Esports. Specific details of the distribution plans were not disclosed.
Shadow Esports Widget provides a detailed 2D map that can be used as an add-on or replacement for live streaming in addition to other features.
Benjamin Rivet, CEO of Shadow.GG: "We are delighted to have received ESL as the lead organizer of Dota2 and CS: GO tournaments to promote our widget, and that they have trusted us to influence fan engagement with their valuable brand."
Bayes Esports and Shadow.gg are subsidiaries of Bayes Holding. ESL and Bayes Esports expanded their relationship in March this year. ESL Gaming started using the Bayes Esports CARP parser in 2020. The tool allows you to automatically extract and structure large datasets. Since the analyzer can extract more data points and at higher quality, it can display full 2D replays in real time and during gameplay.
