The developer of a few esports disciplines has already started receiving applications from tournament operators to host tournaments in the Dota Pro Circuit series during the season 2019/2020. Together with this, they announced dates of all MOBA discipline events.
Valve has also noticed the fact that they will determine formats of championships on their own from the next season to avoid unpleasant situations with strange decisions made by tournament operators. The company said nothing about the rest of the changes to events.
