StarLadder together with ImbaTV announced Dota 2 StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3. Only best teams from Europe, the US, Asia and China will participate in the event. In the qualifiers, 6 slots for the LAN-final taking place in Shanghai will be distributed. Two more teams will be invited directly.

The participants of the event will compete for the prize pool of $300,000.

The qualifiers to StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 LAN-final will take place in three stages. The first one will be the open qualifier to all teams wanting to participate in StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3. In Europe, 2 qualifier rounds will take place.

The teams winning in open qualifiers of the North America and Asia will get the invitations to the main qualifier stage.

The winners of two European open qualifiers will play against 6 teams invited to the closed qualifiers. Two best teams of the closed qualifier will join the main qualifying stage, where they will get a chance to win invitations to the LAN-final.

The main qualifier in North America, Asia and Europe will be held in the format of the league. Unlike these regions, the Chinese teams will compete in play-off Double Elimination format.

The slots for LAN-finals are distributed in the following way:

China — 2Europe — 2America — 1Asia — 1Direct invitations — 2

Shanghai International Gymnastics Center with 4000 places for viewers will host the event.
