Will the first Dota 2 Major be held in Singapore?
Information about the upcoming championship has appeared on the ONE Esports website. Soon after a somewhat premature announcement, the championship page was removed from general viewing, but we still managed to extract some information.
Now we know for sure that ONE Esports and PGL will organize the first Major tournament. The latter, by the way, hold the current DPC championships in Southeast Asia.
ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 starts on March 25 and ends on April 4. The venue for the event will be the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The tournament is planned to be held in a LAN format, and the best teams from each region of the top divisions of the ongoing DPC championships will have to attend it. The total prize pool of the Major competition will be $ 500,000 and 2,700 Dota Pro Circuit rating points. By the way, they will be divided between the best eight teams. Initially, ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 was supposed to be the final tournament of the 2019/2020 Dota Pro Circuit season, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
