Vitaliy 'v1lat' Volochay said in a podcast on WASD that the open qualifying round for the Dota Pro Circuit championship could start on January 6.

Valve made an official announcement of the next season of the Dota Pro Circuit and, according to their statement, the main part of the championship in all divisions should start on January 18th. The tournament has been postponed from September to January due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This time Valve will split the Dota Pro Circuit into two divisions with different prize pools. The best teams will receive direct invitations to the Major tournament. Now he will be one for the entire season and will have more prestige similar to the Mid-Season Invitational in the world of League of Legends.
