As a result of pulling out of the tournament after confirming their participation, the event organizer (ESL FACEIT Group) has imposed sanctions on the organization, affecting their total ESL Pro Tour points.

Tundra Esports’ withdrawal from DreamLeague Season 26 violates Section 2.11.5 of the ESL Pro Tour rules, leading to a 20% deduction from the organization’s total points and dropping them from fifth to sixth place. The situation isn’t critical, but it should serve as a precedent for other teams.

Despite the point deduction, Tundra Esports remains in the top 10. According to the rules, the top ten teams in the ESL Pro Tour will qualify for the Dota 2 Esports World Championship, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 8 to 19, 2025. Thanks to their strong performance, Tundra Esports still has a good chance of playing at the event—and who knows, maybe it’s part of their strategy to conserve energy.

What about the open slot at DreamLeague Season 26?

That spot will be filled by NAVI Junior, a team that showed solid performance and finished in the top eight at PGL Wallachia Season 4.

While some fans are happy to see NAVI Junior back in top-tier competition, others have questioned the organizer’s decision not to invite Team Secret, despite the team advancing further in the Western European qualifiers.

DreamLeague Season 26 will run from May 19 to June 1 and will feature 16 teams that either qualified or received direct invites. They will compete for a share of 29,200 EPT points and a prize pool of $1 million.
