Dataminers Reveal Possible Release Date for Dota 2's Crownfall Act IV and New Hero Kez
Dataminers have uncovered a potential release date for Crownfall Act IV in Dota 2. According to game files, the final part of the event is expected to run from September 24 to November 26, 2024. This information was shared on GitHub.
During The International 2024, Valve teased a new hero, Bird Samurai Kez, hinting that the hero could be released in Act IV of the event. However, it’s also possible that this was simply a teaser for a more detailed announcement in the future. There’s a chance that Valve has delayed the conclusion of Crownfall, as earlier leaks indicated the event would end in mid-October.
Crownfall has been ongoing in Dota 2 since April 2024, making it the longest-running event in the game’s history. The story revolves around the battle between Vengeful Spirit and Skywrath Mage against Queen Imperia. Kez, also known as Kestrel, was introduced as the leader of a revolutionary order that joins the protagonists in their fight.
Details about Kez remain scarce. He belongs to a race of flightless birds, wields a saber, and, based on the teaser, appears to excel in acrobatics. Fans are eagerly awaiting more information about this enigmatic new hero.
