poloson left Team SMG after contract expired
Malaysian esports organization Team SMG has announced changes to its Dota 2 roster, saying goodbye to poloson. The 26-year-old Singaporean left the team after his contract expired. It is reported that the parties have decided not to renew the agreement for the next season.
Today we are announcing poloson's departure from Team SMG as his contract has expired and both parties have agreed to part ways. We thank poloson for his stellar tournament performances and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
poloson started last season with Nigma Galaxy SEA, where he managed to take second place in the DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division II. Then the 26-year-old Singaporean player tried his hand at Ybb Gaming, but left the team after failing at DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division II.
In the summer, the esportsman joined Team SMG. However, together with the team, the Singaporean did not gain much fame, failing to qualify for ESL One Malaysia 2022, and also taking 4th and 5-6th places at GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Thailand 2022 and BTS Pro Series Season 12: Southeast Asia, respectively. In addition, the team failed to qualify for The International 2022 without even qualifying for the regional qualifiers.
Note that this is not the first change in the composition of the team - earlier the organization said goodbye to iceiceice.
Updated Team SMG Dota 2 roster:
- mid one
- Moon
- ah-fu
- Kenchi (coach)
