New Hero Mirage Released in Dealock! Update on September 27
A new patch has been released in Deadlock, featuring numerous changes that affect game balance, map modifications, the addition of a new hero, and much more. We invite you to review a brief summary of the patch that is now available for testing in the game.
New Hero: Mirage
Mirage is a new hero who, according to the developers, is set to become a favorite among players thanks to his unique abilities:
- Tornado (1) Transform yourself into a tornado that travels forward, damaging enemies and lifting them into the air. After emerging from the tornado, you gain bullet evasion.
- Fire Scarabs (2) Start launching fire scarabs. Each scarab can be launched separately, stealing max health from enemies and applying bullet resist reduction. You cannot apply multiple scarabs to the same enemy. The health gain from hitting heroes is three times as effective against non-heroes.
- Djinn's Mark (3) Passive Your shots apply an increasing multiplier on the target. When the multiplier on a target expires or you reach the maximum, it's consumed, and the target suffers Spirit Damage and is briefly revealed on the map. The final damage is the base damage times the multiplier.
- Traveler (4) Channeled Target an ally or a visible enemy hero on the minimap, then teleport to where they were when your channel started. After teleporting, you gain movement speed as well as fire rate until your next reload.
New Anti-Cheat System
Now, if a cheater is detected during gameplay, players can choose either to ban them immediately and end the match or transform the cheater into a frog for the remainder of the game. This system currently operates at a conservative detection level, with more serious anti-cheat measures to be implemented later.
General Changes
Regarding general changes, players can now customize their abilities and items for quick access, eliminating the need to input commands. New hotkeys have also been added to fix many control issues. For custom matches, the ability to activate cheats and select users has been introduced, which will be useful for more serious gameplay. Voice communication indicators and game invitation interfaces have been improved.
New Servers and Localization
Deadlock now includes match region indicators, new servers in South Africa, and support for the Italian language. Visual changes have also been made to build statistics, where popular builds are now highlighted for convenience.
Map Changes
The map in Deadlock has been redesigned to enhance gameplay. Maneuvering zones have been increased, and new environmental elements have been added that can be used for tactical maneuvers. Some "dead zones," where players could stay safe from battles, have been removed.
Revamping of Items and Hero Abilities
Changes have also been made to items—many have been revamped to make them more appealing for use. For example, cooldown times have been reduced, and stats for previously unpopular items have been increased.
This was a brief overview of the major patch that has been released; there are many more changes in the game itself.
