Valve's Deadlock Introduces Four Exciting New Characters in Major Beta Update

Valve’s third-person shooter MOBA, Deadlock, just got a major boost with a significant update in its public beta. Four brand-new characters—Holliday, Calico, Vyper, and The Magnificent Sinclair—are now available for all players to enjoy, completely free of charge. This update not only adds fresh gameplay dynamics but also opens up exciting new strategies and team compositions.

Valve announced the addition of these characters in a recent Steam Developer Blog post, offering insights into their unique abilities and playstyles.

Meet the New Deadlock Heroes:

• Holliday is a Western-inspired gunslinger armed with a revolver. She can deploy a powder keg that, when shot, explodes to deal damage and launch enemies into the air. Her precision headshots inflict bonus damage and slow enemies, making her a deadly force on the battlefield.

• Vyper is a reptilian humanoid wielding a machine gun, but poison is her true specialty. She can slide swiftly across the ground to outmaneuver foes and unleash venomous attacks. Her toolkit includes slowing daggers, damage-over-time poison effects, and a stunning bola to immobilize opponents.

• Calico is a stealthy assassin accompanied by her agile feline companion, Ava. Designed for rapid, high-impact strikes, Calico can execute deadly slashes and throw cluster bombs. When the heat is on, she can transform into Ava to become a nimble and elusive target, making escapes effortless.

• The Magnificent Sinclair is a master of magic and deception. He can summon a spectral assistant to disrupt enemies and amplify his damage. If cornered, Sinclair can transform opponents into harmless rabbits, neutralizing threats. His most impressive ability allows him to steal and unleash enemies’ ultimate attacks against them, turning their greatest strengths into vulnerabilities.
