Deadlock Unveils New Hero Raven: A Stylish Spy with Game-Changing Abilities!

Although Deadlock hasn't been officially released, it already feels like a fully developed and mature game. Valve's MOBA-shooter draws tens of thousands of players daily, delivers consistent updates, and features an impressive roster of 22 heroes. Now, a new character has joined the lineup in the Hero Labs testing zone: the stylish Soviet spy Raven, armed with both elegance and a formidable set of abilities.

Raven stands out with his sophisticated appearance—a white suit, an eye patch, and an umbrella that doubles as a firearm.

His abilities include:

• Stun Grenade (First Ability): Slows enemy turning speed and amplifies damage from weapons and melee attacks when striking from behind.
• Wind Burst (Second Ability): Uses his umbrella to generate a gust of wind, allowing him to retreat while simultaneously launching an explosive projectile.
• Rapid Fire (Passive Ability): Increases his firing speed.
• Gaze of Doom (Ultimate Ability): Enemies who look directly at Raven are slowed and take damage over time. If they maintain eye contact for too long, they become cursed, potentially turning the tide of battle.

Raven is now available in Hero Labs for players with access to the testing zone.

Game Balance Adjustments

Alongside the introduction of Raven, Valve has implemented several balance updates. Popular heroes like Haze and Bebop have received minor adjustments. Additionally, all heroes now have a +0.5 boost to their base dash speed. To offset this, items like Sprint Boots and Enduring Speed have been nerfed to ensure fair gameplay dynamics.

Introducing Extra Competitive Mode

A new matchmaking option called Extra Competitive has been added, allowing players to team up with allies who demonstrate better coordination and communication. However, this feature will only be available when the matchmaking pool has enough players to support it.
