$ZAMA Token Auction from Zama Now Available on KuCoin

Zama, known for its developments in fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), has launched a public auction for its $ZAMA token. This token is a key element of the Zama protocol, which enables confidential computations on encrypted data directly in the blockchain without the need for decryption. This makes Zama akin to "HTTPS for blockchains," ensuring privacy in DeFi, payments, asset tokenization, and other areas.

Key Details of the Auction on KuCoin

1. Start and Duration: The auction started today, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 Kyiv time (08:00 UTC). It will last 3 days, until January 24, 2026, at 22:00 Kyiv time (20:00 UTC).
2. Token Price: Participants submit bids from $0.005 (minimum price, FDV $55 million) to $5 (maximum), with a step of $0.005. The final price (clearing price) is determined after the auction closes: bids are ranked from highest to lowest, and all successful participants pay the same clearing price. Currently, the pre-market on Binance Futures shows ~$0.065 (FDV ~$715 million), but the final price could be lower.
3. Currencies for Purchase: USDT and USDC. Excess funds are returned in the chosen currency.
4. Hardcap and Allocation: Total supply – 880,000,000 $ZAMA (8% of the total supply of 11 billion tokens). No limits on contributions, but a maximum of 10 active bids per user. Successful bids receive an additional 5% bonus on KuCoin.
5. Restrictions: KYC verification required (individual). Ukraine, USA, China and other countries on the ban list.
6. Token Distribution: Allocations will be announced on January 24 at 22:00 Kyiv time. Full token claim is expected on February 2, 2026, with no lockup (100% unlock at TGE).

Zama is not just a token, but a technology that solves the privacy issue in blockchain. The protocol is already on mainnet, supports 20 TPS (faster than Ethereum), and plans to scale to 1000+ TPS.
