XRP NFT Gaining Popularity - Sales Over 7,300,000 XRP
XRP NFTs are starting to gain serious popularity. One of the fastest growing projects in the ecosystem, onXRP, has surpassed 7,300,000 XRP in sales. This was told by one of the founders of onXRP Kai Leroy. In total, over 21,470 non-fungible tokens have been sold.
The second place in terms of XRP NFT sales was taken by the xrp cafe platform. It lags behind by a huge margin, with 9 times fewer NFTs sold, and the volume of sales did not even reach the level of 500,000 Ripple.
The main driver of this progress was the Xpunks collection, which, as the name suggests, was inspired by CryptoPunks, one of the greatest collections of non-fungible tokens. It is noteworthy that an item from the Xpunks collection under the number 8811 was sold for a record 108,900 XRP, which at that time amounted to about $40,000.
The Bithomp service, which allows you to track statistics on the Ripple blockchain, reports that at the moment the Xpunks collection has sold more than 2,432,000 XRP, and the number of sales is over 960. In second place in terms of sales is the XRP analogue of Bored Ape Yacht Club called Bored Apes XRP club. It is also listed on the top selling platform for non-fungible Ripple tokens, onXRP. The items in this collection were sold for over 1,500,000 XRP.
At the time of writing, more than 729,878 non-fungible tokens have been issued on the XRP Ledger. Of these, 113,873 were burned. There are 616,007+ net NFT items left and 70,463 items for sale.
Most likely, after Ripple can win the case against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (if they can), then XRP NFT will be able to develop well and show more expressive turnover in tokens. The parties to the conflict have been suing for more than two years. The US Securities and Exchange Commission sued the founders of Ripple for an initial offering that bypassed all necessary transactions.
