A press release appeared on the official website of the Ministry of Science and Information Technology (MSIT), which introduced South Korea's development strategy towards the metaverse and Web 3.0 technologies. They also showed what principles the operators of this sector will have.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Science and Information Technology, South Korea wants to focus on four main tasks. The first of them is the creation of a favorable environment for the development of virtual world platforms, the second is an increase in the number of specialists in the field of Web 3.0 technologies. The third and fourth goal that the employees of the ministry want to achieve is to maintain the leading creators of the metaverses and expand the personnel reserve of the metaverse sector.
To implement its ideas, the Ministry of Science and Information Technology intends to allocate funds for companies that need it. In addition to such innovations, the ministry took care of the development of ethical standards that will improve the fight against intruders.
The norms will concern mutual respect, social interactions, observance of justice, confidentiality and at the same time will affect the involvement of all people in virtual worlds, regardless of their status in life. The creation of the above norms for staying in the metaverse will be done by experts in the field of data protection, technology, ethics and law, as MSIT representatives announced at a meeting of ministers in the capital of South Korea, Seoul.
