FIFA are going to release 4 new games on the blockchain

Representatives of the International Football Federation said that they plan, like many large companies, to join the culture of Web 3.0 technologies and create new games based on the blockchain. In this way, they want to attract a new audience and expand their products, giving users the opportunity to play football simulators on blockchain technologies.

Such a statement is especially relevant on the eve of the start of the final stage of the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar. FIFA has already announced 4 new games that will use blockchain technology.

Previously, Electronic Arts was the main link between the International Football Federation and gamers who love football simulations. In addition to being the cutting edge football simulation games in the FIFA series, the game series has also always been in the industry as one of the best-selling products, unrivaled in the world of football. Pro Evolution Soccer tried to impose a fight and compete for the right to be the best football simulator, however, despite good attempts, FIFA still retained the title of the main favorite of football gamers.

Earlier, Electronic Arts announced the completion of a partnership agreement with the Football Federation, which lasted 30 years. The main reason given was the lack of agreement on conditions for the following years. As a result, EA will be releasing their football game under the new name EA Sports FC. At the same time, FIFA announced that they would continue to saturate the gaming market with their variations of the football simulator, but already separately from Electronic Arts.

So far, it is not clear how FIFA will be able to create games on their own, and such statements cause more skepticism than belief that the product will be truly interesting and competitive. Finally, the International Football Federation announced its plans. It turned out that they will create games using blockchain technologies and will enter the Web 3.0 sphere. Soon they will delight football fans with four projects at once.

Representatives of FIFA commented on the announcement as follows:

New game integrations, each designed with Web3 and the future of digital interaction in mind, can be played during the tournament and each has a unique twist in the world's biggest football tournament.

AI League will become one of the football games from FIFA on the blockchain. It will be a 4x4 game simulator, and players will take control of teams of characters, which, based on the name, will have artificial intelligence. Another football game will be the Matchday project, in which users will compete through the use of football cards.

FIFA, among other things, announced Phygtl, a game that, unlike the previous two, will be on mobile platforms. The main feature of Phygtl will be the newfangled Play2Earn system, found everywhere in blockchain technologies. This means that players will be able to not only enjoy the game, but also get the opportunity to earn cryptocurrencies through their actions in the game.

The latest product to be unveiled by FIFA will be a football simulation integrated into the Upland metaverse. There, football fans will be able to collect the official digital tokens of the World Cup. They, respectively, can also be sold.

As a result of the anticipation of the World Cup, there is currently an extremely high demand for fan tokens in the world of the cryptocurrency industry. Many football fans who are aware of cryptoassets are buying fan tokens, which will not only show their support for their favorite clubs, but also can, in theory, help to earn money. Every day the start of the final stage is getting closer and closer, and at the same time, the interest of crypto lovers in fan tokens is getting higher. Only in August, on the main crypto exchange Binance, the trading volume of BAR, CITY, PSG, LAZIO and SANTOS tokens was recorded in excess of $2,000,000,000.
