Japanese project Oasys will enable foreigners to enter their market

Representatives of the blockchain project Oasys, which specializes in the GameFi industry, announced their intentions to bring foreign developers closer to the Japanese market. GameFi (Game Finance) is a field of games in blockchain technologies that will allow users not only to have fun in virtual worlds, but also to gain the opportunity to earn money there by buying/selling virtual assets.

Oasys also recently announced a partnership with the YGG gaming community. The collaboration is intended to improve the position of products that will be created using technologies from Oasys, and their distribution will need to be improved.

Oasys wants to contribute to the development of blockchain games in the market in Japan. The Land of the Rising Sun is considered one of the world's leading cryptogaming. The Newzoo portal recently analyzed the data and compiled a report on global markets for the past year. Through the efforts of analysts, it was found that Japan is second only to such countries as China and the United States in the revenue generated from the GameFi sphere. In general, cryptogaming was able to bring profits to developers for a total of $75,900,000,000. More than 75,620,000 players from all over the world contributed to this.

Now, most development companies are having a hard time entering the Japanese market, and Oasys wants to help them overcome the obstacles. Among all the games that are in Japan, about 99% are the fruit of the labors of local developers. The income from them is significant and only 15% of the profit comes from the games of foreign developers. Localization can be cited as the main reason for this lack of presence of foreign games in the Japanese market. Unlike other countries, where it is enough to simply translate the title into the language of the country where the developers are going to distribute the product, in Japan this process is complicated by additional tasks in the form of making changes to the user base of the land of the rising sun.

Tatsuya Fujiwara, one of the founders of the YGG gaming community, expressed his positive attitude towards the opportunities that foreign developers may have. He finds advantages in this not only in the form of saturating the market with new games, but also attracting an additional audience that was not previously familiar with the world of blockchain games:

By reducing barriers to entry, we can attract more users to the blockchain gaming space and improve the ecosystem for everyone. Our partnership with Oasys will help us collaborate with even more developers who are creating exciting blockchain games of the future.
