Official: YEKINDAR Joins FURIA for 2025 Season

URIA has officially announced the addition of Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis as a stand-in for the remainder of the 2025 competitive season. The Latvian rifler joins the Brazilian organization just ahead of three major upcoming events: PGL Astana, IEM Dallas, and the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

“YEKINDAR is officially part of our CS2 team as a stand-in. Welcome aboard!”— FURIA via Twitter

A Period of Transition for FURIA

This move marks the third major roster change for FURIA in just one month. The team previously benched Felipe “skullz” Medeiros, following the earlier departure of Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes. In their place, Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and now YEKINDAR have joined the active lineup, effectively revamping nearly half of the starting five.

FURIA’s recent moves also underscore a clear shift toward internationalization. The team now communicates in English, and its current roster spans across Brazil, Kazakhstan, and Latvia, reflecting a broader, global approach to competition.

Why YEKINDAR?

YEKINDAR has been on the sidelines since December 2024, when he transitioned to Team Liquid’s inactive roster. Known for his time with both Liquid and Virtus.pro, the Latvian standout built a reputation as one of the most aggressive and tactically versatile entry-fraggers on the CS2 scene. He also brings valuable experience as an in-game leader, offering additional strategic depth to FURIA’s evolving lineup.

With YEKINDAR onboard, FURIA enters the next phase of the season with a refreshed roster and renewed momentum.

The updated FURIA roster:

Kaike “KSCERATOCerato

Yuri “yuurih” Santos

Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo

Danil “molodoy” Golubenko

Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis

Sid “sidde ” Macedo (coach)
