S1mple under fire from critics: participation in a show match with russian players caused outrage
Famous Ukrainian professional Counter-Strikeplayer Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostylev played a show match with russian eSports players, which caused a wave of criticism from Ukrainian commentators.
The showcase match was organised by Ukrainian streamer Vadim "Evelone" Kozakov, according to Tribuna. Both russian players and streamers took part in the game, including OverDrive and donk.
s1mple played in a team with OverDrive, Booster, Skillz0r, and Stanislaw, while Evelone teamed up with Shadowkek, Donk, Strogo, and Dmitriy_Lixxx. As a result, the Evelone team defeated the s1mple team with a score of 2-1.
Ukrainian commentators Oleksandr "Petr1k" Petryk and Oleksiy "yXo" Maletskiy criticised s1mple ' s decision to play in the same match as russian players during the war.
