CS:GO Milestone: Havard 'rain' Nygaard Sets Record for Longest Tenure on a Single Team with FaZe Clan
Havard "rain" Nygaard has set a remarkable record in the CS:GO community by remaining on FaZe Clan's roster for 3014 days, surpassing Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski's previous record with Team Liquid. This tenure equates to over 8.25 years, during which the Norwegian player missed only two events, marking the longest any professional has stayed with the same team in CS:GO history.
This achievement is even more significant considering rain's journey began on the initial Kinguin team alongside ScreaM and Maikelele. This lineup was later acquired by G2 and subsequently by FaZe Clan. Rain has been a constant through several pivotal changes, outlasting the original roster and the famed first superteam that included olofmeister, NiKo, and GuardiaN, where he was often seen as the unheralded member.
During his extensive tenure with FaZe, rain witnessed karrigan's departure and return to the team. This reunion proved fruitful, as they clinched titles at Intel Grand Slam S4 and the Antwerp Major, with Havard earning MVP honors at the latter.
Not included in these statistics are the CS 1.6 era players like Zeus and Edward, who also had significant stints with Natus Vincere, among other teams. Other long-standing figures in the scene include BTN, KRiMZ, and f0rest, known for their lengthy careers with their respective teams.
