Counter-Strike became the most popular shooter of 2023
Esports Charts has released the ranking of the most popular esports disciplines in 2023. Counter-Strike secured the third position, accumulating 381 million hours of viewership and reaching a peak of 1.53 million concurrent viewers. The analysis considered metrics for both CS:GO and CS 2.
The chart topper was League of Legends, with all its tournaments collectively amassing 590 million hours of viewership. This was largely influenced by the success of Worlds 2023, making it the most popular tournament across all disciplines. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang claimed the second spot with 530 million hours of viewership.
At the bottom of the ranking were Dota 2 (364 million) and Valorant (327 million). Both disciplines saw peak viewership of 1.44 million during world championships.
