Xizt extends contract with Heroic for two years

Norwegian esports organization Heroic has announced a contract extension with head coach Xizt. As a result, the 31-year-old Swedish specialist will continue to lead the CS:GO roster for the next two seasons.

I really enjoyed working with the guys over the past fourteen months. I feel amazing renewing my contract with Heroic. It was not difficult for me to make a decision. I think we're really building something great here, and I'm just excited.

Xizt took over the leadership of Heroic in October 2021, replacing HUNDEN at the helm of the team. Initially, the 31-year-old Swedish specialist joined the team as an analyst, but was soon promoted to head coach.

Under his leadership, the Danish team became the winner of Pinnacle Winter Series #3, PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A, Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2022 and BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, and also got into the top three PGL Major Stockholm 2021, Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Katowice, BLAST Premier: Spring European Showdown 2022, Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022: European RMR B and Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022.

It is worth noting that this is the fifth renewal following similar signings of new contracts with cadiaN, stavn, TeSeS and sjuush. Moreover, just last summer, the Norwegian organization signed Jabbi, intending to stay in the current roster for as long as possible.

Currently, the Danish team is playing in the group stage of BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2023, where they are preparing for the match against Team Vitality. Next, the team is waiting for a busy schedule of championships that will go one after another - Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023, ESL Pro League Season 17, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR B and Intel Extreme Masters Spring 2023.
