Twistzz on adding Anubis: "I think the map would be great for the scene"
Twistzz, player of the FaZe Clan team, in an interview for the BLIX portal, GG commented on the latest update for CS: GO, in which Valve replaced the Dust 2 map with Anubis. According to the 23-year-old Canadian, the map is perfect for the competitive scene as it requires a slow and controlled play style.
Yes, I played Anubis a bit, tested the skyboxes, checked some possible boosts, found some flash drives, checked how the textures look when you throw grenades. I played one match with broky and honestly I think the map would be great for the scene. I think this is a very slow card. You will be penalized defensively by playing aggressively, and you will probably be punished offensively by also playing aggressively.
During the conversation, Twistzz also speculated about when FaZe Clan would be able to count on the map. According to the Canadian, the team has yet to decide on the future of their card pool.
Of course, I mean, I think that every team will want to, you know, practice on Anubis, even for one week, see if the players like it, if the team feels good and all that. And yes, I mean after this event, everyone has to decide what they will do with their card pool. And it's good that we already practiced Vertigo, in case we don't like Anubis.
Recall that the Anubis card will debut on the professional scene as part of BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, which will be held in mid-December in Abu Dhabi.
Well, at present, FaZe Clan is playing at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, where they are waiting for their semi-final opponent. At the time of writing, the quarterfinal meeting between the teams NAVI and Ninjas in Pajamas continues.
