Tournament series European Development Championship returns
Tournament operators GAM3RS_X and Eden Esports have announced the resumption of the European Development Championship CS:GO tournament series. As a result, the parties intend to play two more seasons, the first of which will begin at the end of 2022.
The sixth season of the European Development Championship will run from October 22 to November 21, while the seventh season of the European Development Championship is scheduled for January/February 2023.
The two new seasons of the series will also feature new partners - GamingMalta, Hellcase and GRID Esports have been included in the roster for the new seasons
Recall that earlier Eden Esports organized five seasons of the European Development Championship, the winners of which were the teams K23 (twice), Sprout, SKADE and Entropiq.
The top two teams of each season will receive an invitation to the bootcamp. A training camp in Malta will help them develop their team and individual skills in a country that has recently hosted events such as ESL Pro League Season 16 and RMR tournaments.
The European Development Championship will be divided into four stages: open qualifier, play-off stage, group stage and play-off. Each stage will feature sixteen teams, including invited and qualified teams. Open qualifiers will be open to all interested teams from Europe.
The prize fund of the European Development Championship will be $45,000:
- 1st place: $20,000 + bootcamp in Malta
- 2nd place: $10,000 + bootcamp in Malta
- 3rd-4th place: $5,000
- 5th-8th place: $1,250
